Very true. It's why we appreciate our other 3 seasons so much. After a long winter, and only the hearty souls are out in it, everyone is outside in summer. I mean everyone. Bicycling, in-line skating around the city lakes, sailing, rowing, walking their dogs, sunbathing and picnic-ing at Calhoun Beach, enjoying a meal on an outdoor patio w/ a loved one. It's really energizing to see everyone outside living their lives. I love it.

When your breath causes icicles to form on your eye lashes and freezes your eyes shut, that's cold!

I used to live in the Yukon, and when there were no plug-ins for the vehicles at work, people would leave them running all day. Same as when they went to the mall. Otherwise, the engine blocks would freeze solid!

I loved it up there...when I was young and had lots of energy. The extra body fat for insulation wouldn't make up for it now

You have to admit, the winters have their own beauty though. As long as there's a warm fire and a hot toddie to come back to enjoy, of course!

Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!
