That's too funny, Dave. I thought I'd add some graphics to get the Spine Patient Society into the Holiday Spirit.

For the record: I love snow. Click here to enlarge If it's going to be cold outside, it might as well snow. I used to be a ski bum and I love being in the snow-covered mountains.

Which is all we have here at the moment! I missed the snow graphics that Justin added, and couldn't figure out what you were talking about, Dave! Right now I'll take some very pretty snow over all the mud!

But I have to say after moving here, that I now love winter more than summer Click here to enlarge I can dress for the chilly days, but not for the hot and very humid ones Click here to enlarge Even the horses like it better...it looks so gorgeous when they are galloping through a fresh deep snowfall in the morning, with the first rays of sun behind them...sometimes we can get a snow-rainbow!
Moderate compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6
Moderate & severe herniation and compression at L3/4 to L5/S1
Hybrid surgery (fusion & ADR) of all above levels postponed because of severe allergy to most metals used in hardware.
Update Jan/2010: Dr. Pimenta (Brazil) offering surgery: ceramic & poly cervical ADR plus PEEK fusion of lumbar levels.

Where I live, in Grand Haven (which is on the shores of Lake Michigan) we get this nasty thing called Lake Effect Snow Machine.Click here to enlarge Cold air over warm water means a ton of snow, which Terry can attest to also. It travels maybe 15 miles or so inland, then stops.Click here to enlarge

When I left for work this morning, we had gotten dumped on with 12" of heavy wet snow.Click here to enlarge When I get to work, which is about 18 miles inland, they have about 2-3".Click here to enlarge Ah heck I should move, but the summers on the beach makes up for this despicable frozen water falling around me.

You ever notice (for those of you who get snow) how many people forget how to drive in it! I'm tellin' ya, I saw 5 cars in the ditch on the way in.Click here to enlarge It's always the same type of vehicles also, the 4 wheel drive, I can go through anything, get out of my way, people.Click here to enlarge Ha. And they laugh at me for driving a 95 Taurus wagon, which mind you, has never seen the ditch at all. I'm the one who's laughing when I see them.Click here to enlarge

So here we go, another winter in Michigan. Full of BEAUTIFUL white frozen H2O, which gathers in my driveway and on the roads. (yea, whatever)Click here to enlarge

Dave, I hear ya. How can people forget how to drive in the snow??! I'm thinking to myself, we live in Minnesota people!! Click here to enlarge It drives me nuts too. Click here to enlarge I especially don't like it when people get right on my tail....so close, I can't even see them in my side view mirror. What in their right mind (they don't have one?) possesses them to do that? I got that off my chest. I feel better already. Click here to enlarge
