Do we have spell check on this site ,some of the medical terms are impossible to sound out never mind trying to spell them?

Gil,

After typing your post, look in the upper right hand corner of your message box and you will see the letters ABC with a check mark underneath. The first time you use this it will ask to download a program called "ieSpell". Download this and you should be all set.

I have always had a red line show up underneath the misspelled word, and I thought that it was just a feature of the site. Then when I click on the word, it gives me the right spelling.

But I use Firefox as a browser, and perhaps that is my editor

I seem to be needing it more and more lately

Hey Gil,

The weird thing about vBulletin, the platform that this forum runs on, is that they've never installed a Spell Check on their forums. I was going to suggest using a browser like Firefox, Safari, etc. as the browser itself has a Spell Check built in (Katie is using Firefox, so her browser is acting as the Spell Check).

It sounds like Dave has a PC and running Internet Explorer as his browser. Here is the software he is talking about:

There is a "hack," or a program someone made, that allows vBulletin Forums to Spell Check, but it is not officially supported by vBulletin (this means it can make one's Forum vulnerable to hacking and security issues).

Hopefully, when the new vBulletin update is released it will finally have a Spell Check integrated into message posting.

PS I use a Mac and use Safari as my browser and my message box underlines text that is misspelled. All I have to do to correct is hold the control button down and click at the same time. It will then pull up spelling suggestions.
