Hi All!
Just stopping in to let you know that I am still alive. I have been busy with school and have had a lot of personal stuff going on in my life which has kept me away for a bit. To say that I have been under a lot of stress would be an understatement.
I finally found a sedentary job (it took 4 months). But, there are days when it isn't "spine friendly" & I find myself running around a lot. I have noticed that I am having some pain and discomfort & worry that I may be blowing out another disc.
Anyway, I look forward to catching up with my fellow spineys to see what I have been missing. I'll try to pop in more in between hitting the books.

Thanks Dave. The job is OK. I work with some great people & the benefits are really good. I do get yelled at by unhappy people at times but that is the joy of working with defendants. You can't make everyone happy all of the time.
I went back to school to get a 2nd Associates Degree. I'm hoping that it opens up some new job opportunities.

Hi Cindylou!
The new home in Florida is nice. It's not huge but it suits us well. It would be great if I had a swimming pool. Perhaps my Powerball numbers will come in soon
We moved from Upstate NY (about 70 miles north of NYC). It was a huge change for us. The job market here is REALLY bad. Unemployment last I checked was 13.5% in our county. Not good! Luckily I found a job working for the County. Pay is eh but the benefits are good.
I went back to school because it was nearly impossible to find a paralegal job down here. No one wants to give you a job unless you have 3-5 years of experience which I don't have.I figured between the paralegal degree from NY & the health information technician degree from FL I should be able to find something in either field in the future. You always have to think ahead. Especially in this economy.
I'm hoping that the other issues that I have going on will be resolved shortly. It's been a tough road and we had hoped that 2010 would be a better year for us than 2009. So far it hasn't been. We just need a break from the bad luck. There's only so much that I can take before I snap.
