The Texas Rangers three top hitters all batted in the low .100's for the World Series (that they just lost) with San Francisco.
Oh well... I'm still pumped. The Rangers have perennially been one of the worst teams in MLB for about four decades. I'm just glad that they made the World Series and won one of the games.
If their rate of World Series appearances holds, I'll be 87 for their next appearance. Perhaps they'll win it all then?

Adios amigos... There are a lot of parallels there; the most important being the respective owner problems. In the Raiders' case, at least Al Davis, who is in his 80's and in poor health, will be dead soon and the Raiders will have a chance to flourish again. I'm afraid that we're stuck with Jones for another 20 years!
