    Default What do you do......

What do you do when you are up late at night in pain? When the family is asleep and it's just you? Any rituals?

I go downstairs and lay on the heating pad, watch tv (Discovery Health, Trauma Life in the ER, Mystery Diagnosis, The Critical Hour, etc.)

I also usually eat a Activia yogurt and Kashi granola bar (to keep me from eating junk food)

Sometimes I read, since I can't do much of that with the kids up.

I also come read on here, play solitare on the computer and play web sudoku.

Definitely come on here. For some reason, I don't typically turn the TV on. I also am huge on FaceBook, and I spend a good amount of time working on my family genealogy online, using the Ancestry.com application. I hardly ever use the heating pad, but am a huge icer. I usually don't eat anything in the middle of the night. And lastly, I'll work on my memoir in the middle of the night.

I watch TV. Basically the same stuff that you watch Kathy If I'm up to it, washing the dishes I left in the sink since dinner.

I sometimes surf the web. Usually the different spine boards & read online newspapers. I became addicted to Facebook when I had my fusion surgery. I spend entirely too much time on there.

I've been trying to write "poetry" again. Sometimes if I can get some thoughts written down, I don't tend to be as depressed or stressed out.

Sadly, I've been eating a lot lately at night. And it's been junk food & soda. And I sit here & wonder why my butt is getting bigger

Disc Bulge C4/C5, Disc Degeneration T11/T12, Bi-Lateral tears L5/S1, Diagnosed w/ Lumbar Disc Derangement w/ Radiculopaphy. Treatment: IDET, Percutaneous Discectomy, SI Joint Injection, Facet Block. All failed. Empire BC/BS Denied Coverage for ADR-lost all of my appeals. MVP also denied coverage.

    Anterior/Posterior Fusion L5/S1 -1/20/09 - I'm not 100% but I'll take the 85%! When the weather co-operates, it's 95% woohoo!
