I just heard about this from a friend. It's a massive shopping day in the US???? Is it worthwhile for me to cross the border? What is normally on sale, the department stores, hardware, ???
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

    Hi Katie,

Black Friday is considered the start of the holiday shopping season for many retailers. A lot of stores open at ridiculous hours (some at midnight tonight) and feature many items at good deals for the brave that join the crowds. I heard many of the "deals" this year are less than stellar. Personally, I avoid shopping on Black Friday as it's nuts in most stores.

Now there are at times that there are deals, which would rouse the dead. My daughter waited in line for 4 hours to get a $700 laptop for $200. Of course I paid for it but I was not going to wait in line. She just called and said she was the 13th out 29 available.

Yesterday I picked up a Blue ray for $69 and a home theater system for $99. I did not even have to wait for those....

My son went with my daughter and got an 8gig flash drive for 9.99 and 10 movies at $3 each.

For the die-hards and the young at heart, it can save you hundreds.

Two years ago I was at Staples to get a $169 leather chair for $29. I had the chair in my hands and a little old lady said she wanted it. I almost gave it to her until the profanity started to flow from her vulgar mouth. I ask he ifshe kissed her grandkids with that mouth, then she proceeded to kick me. She was asked to leave the store.

Moral of the story is that there are good deals, but it brings out the absolute worst in people, maybe not all, but a bunch of them.

Nice finds! You can't beat those prices. That's a steal for the Blue-Ray player.
