Default What's the bestest news a mom can get?

That she's going to be a grandma

Yup, my dearest oldest daughter dropped that bombshell on me last night at supper It was just supposed to be a casual unscheduled meal, after I'd been working with my Studio Tour all day.

"Oh, the reason I'm not wanting much ham is because I'm a bit nauseous....because of the baby", she says ....I literally dropped my fork

OMG, this was not something I expected for a while yet. They are settling in nicely here after just moving back from the States, and just bought a new house. I thought they would be waiting a bit, but never asked...I hate pushy moms. If it happened, great, if not, that was OK too.

    But now....... YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Nuts, I can't make the big letters go pink! Just in case you were wondering what I'm hoping for 'Cause little girls and PONIES just go so well together But hubby is hoping for a boy, because boys and model trains go together better (no stereotyping here!) Of course, as long as it's healthy, we'll be thrilled with anything. Can you tell that's it my first??!! Yippeeeeeeee again Ha! It worked that time!

Gee, all that surgery stress just went out the window
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

That's a big congratulations. Now you can spoil her and send her home. Grandchildren are revenge for all of the stuff she pulled on you when you were raising her.

So you'll all get a chance to meet 'it', when you come up next spring

April 17 is the date. Who wants to start a pool? I'm betting on the 22nd instead. She and her sister were both five days overdue
