I used to love to travel when I was younger, but now I'm finding alot of peace and beauty right here in my home state. My husband still loves to travel, so he tries to drag me along. We have seen alot of Europe: Italy (any and everywhere; my husband is Italian so he loves going to Italy, Paris (we honeymooned there almost 20 years ago, and have been back a # of times), Germany (and not just for spine surgery!) we did a Rhine River cruise years ago and took in all the castles along the river, awesome. Spain, especially Costa del Sol region, fabulous. In Switzerland, we enjoyed the lovely town of Grindelwald. In Belgium, Bruge and Brussels were awesome. I love buying European linens (table clothes) when I am there and USING them. Outside of Europe, Bermuda, Mexico, Hawaii, Bora Bora, Costa Rica, and too many more to list. I told you my husband loves to travel! My favorite places? That's a tough one, but for sure Bora Bora, and I'm going to pick Spain, because it way always exceeded my expectations and I speak Spanish, so I loved being able to speak the native language with people. But truthfully, I love the good ole' US of A!

You will Kathy. And do it while you are young. Because honestly, I think the appeal wears off when you are older. One of my funnest (I love making up just the right word!) trips ever was when my husband and I were still dating, and I hadn't been to the east coast ever, (he is from the east coast) so he took me to Nantucket Island where we stayed at a lovely, vintage B & B. Well, it rained for the solid week, straight. But we were young and so newly in love, we didn't care. We rented bicycles every day and did everything in the rain, and just had a ball! Life gives you lemons, you damn straight better make that lemonade, right? (gotta love Mr., Ms? Banana!!)

Wow, Germany has soo many cool little spots. Mainz is my favorite big town. I recently discovered Kusel, a cool little town and Idar Oberstein. Here you can go and see a church built into a mountain as well as tour many castle ruins. The history is amazing. When I feel better, I will be going to Sweeden.
So far, Europe has been my favorite. I am not too much for beaches and hot weather (though I thoroughly enjoyed Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Nice (France)). I am a cold weather type of person (or at least was). There are even really beautiful areas in Seoul and Yongson, Korea. (And snowboarding there is a BLAST! the alps are over-rated). And being from the east coast, there is nothing like Seven Springs (PA) for winter sports and Lake Lure (NC) in the spring/fall.
