Default Your favourite place to visit?

What is on your wish list of places to visit, or which has been your favourite so far?

Italy and the Isle of Skye are my top two wishes, and the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia at Long Beach with the natural hot springs is my all time favourite spot so far. Those enormous breakers on the beach in rough weather were breathtaking, and investigating the tidal pools for star fish and sea urchins just made my day.

Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

    Katie very nice picks.

I'd have to say the best places I've been:

    1. Italy - Venice
    2. Bora Bora

I still have many places I want to visit.

Well, the chances of getting to Italy are getting better....my youngest is engaged to an Italian chef, and odds are pretty good that they will be having a big, happy Italian wedding

And Isle of Skye is my husband's favourite spot on earth, so hopefully he will share it with me someday......soon.

Justin, what would be your favourite places in the US to visit? I'm ashamed to say that I've only been to Disney World and NYC so far. I've visited the Arctic communities of Tuktoyuktuk and Inuvik in the Northwest Territories, but no place with hot beaches down south.

DisneyWorld and NYC are great places in my opinion--I visit them often. I grew up in New Mexico and many people are fascinated with the Southwest landscape and open areas. The sunsets are absolutely incredible. It's a great place to visit, but personally for young professionals, it leaves a lot to be desired (in terms of living, not visiting).

I would recommend Santa Fe, San Francisco, Las Vegas is fun for a few days, Grand Canyon, etc. out West and I'm still personally discovering the East Coast: DC, Philly, NYC, Boston, there are a lot of "beachy" places in the Mid-Atlantic / Northeast. I've heard NC/SC have some great beaches...Chicago is a great city...there's Miami, anywhere in beautiful CO, Seattle, Maine looks stunning, New Orleans (just visited--great city!), etc...

School limits my traveling greatly, but there are so many beautiful places in the US and overseas that my wife and I still want to visit. (Sorry for the random listing of places, BTW .)

We just touched the tip of NYC, and loved it! As I wrote before, the people were all so friendly and kind, especially when we were driving and looking for the hospital. I guess we will have lots of time to see the sights there if and when we are back for surgery.

Other than the obvious, what would you recommend we see there? I love playing tourist

Justin, I am jealous of all your traveling! I had only been to 2 states by age 18. Since then, I have been to more.
Katie, In the US, there are beautiful beaches in Miami and Key Westm Florida. Some neat cities to see the sights are Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Little Rock, Arkansas and Austin, Texas. I really love Cancun and Cozumel, sitting on the beach drinking margaritas all day, good times. We are so lucky to have been given such a beautiful world to explore, so much fascinating, beautiful and amazing things to see.

My Favorite place so far has been the town in Germany where my mom is from. I visited there back in 2006 when I went with my mom to visit my grandmother one last time. I had not been there in 20 years & it was so beautiful.

Sadly, due to my mother's recent knee replacement & my grandmother's declining health, there wasn't any time for me to site see. But I did manage to take roughly 100 pictures during our one week stay.

I would love to see Italy, Australia, New Zeland, China, Japan.

I have been to Switzerland, Belize, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Niagra Falls, & several states in the US.
Disc Bulge C4/C5, Disc Degeneration T11/T12, Bi-Lateral tears L5/S1, Diagnosed w/ Lumbar Disc Derangement w/ Radiculopaphy. Treatment: IDET, Percutaneous Discectomy, SI Joint Injection, Facet Block. All failed. Empire BC/BS Denied Coverage for ADR-lost all of my appeals. MVP also denied coverage.

    Anterior/Posterior Fusion L5/S1 -1/20/09 - I'm not 100% but I'll take the 85%! When the weather co-operates, it's 95% woohoo!

    Default West and Northren Michigan

I must say that the Eastern shores of Lake Michigan and the rolling hills and wonderful forests and beaches of Northern Michigan are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

I am lucky enough to live less than a mile from Lake Michigan and we use the beaches year round. Sunning and swimming in the summer and Ice berg climbing in the winter. The water is crystal clear, to the point you can see the bottom at 50+ feet.

I've lived all over the world, growing up as an Air Force "brat" as we were called, and I must say this area tops all of the other places we lived in . Except for the economy in Michigan, everything else is perfect.
