    Default Back on the Boards

    Hello All,
Well, it was a great day: I spend the day with my wife skiing and snowboarding at our local ski hill. Everything went really well, though my legs feel like jelly now.

The reason I'm posting this is to encourage people who are in pain now: it can all turn around very quickly. I had my L5/S1 disc replaced with a Prodisc on December 17th: about 13 weeks ago. My back feels solid, my legs are getting stronger, and I feel like I have a new lease on life.

I sincerely hope for relief for everyone who has back or neck pain. Keep looking for the right doctor, the right treatment, the right whatever it is that you need.

It's SO great to hear the success stories, and I'm glad you are one of them

It certainly gave me the strength to carry on when everything was so bleak, and I'm so glad I did. Congratulations on the great day out doing one of your favourite things
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

Great news! It's amazing to read how active you are at only 13 weeks out!

Thanks for the update...I wish you the very best.
