Default C4/5 and C5/6 discectomy and fusion

    Hi all, quick introduction

1st June 2011 C4/5 and C5/6 discectomy and fusion, graphite implant and artificial bone.

Woke up some 3 hours after being anethitised, checked arms and legs worked (yes, yes, and yes)

Had no ill effects and was allowed home the following day, must say my recovery (so far) has been far better than I imagined it would be, all symptoms have gone, r/h arm feels much better and stronger.

The consultant / surgeon (Mr Andras Kemeney, Sheffield UK) was fantastic and carried out a brilliant job.

due to see him on the 7th July hopefully to be discharged.
    Short history

2004 pins and needles right arm / fingers, put up with symptoms for 4 yrars, gradually getting worse
2009 Consultancy with specialist in Sheffield (UK) diagnosed issues aroung C4,5,6 tried Pregabalin, worked initially but disliked side effects
2011 Consultancy with different specialist, agreed 2 point plan, 1 Carpal tunnel surgery and 2 , Discectomy and fusion
June 1st 2011 C4/5 and C5/6 Discectomy and fusion (Titanium plate and screws with Graphite implants and artificial bone)
