i want to get a blood test for metal allergy from genisis clinical lab, or orthopedic analysis lab, they are both her 45 minutes away, i cant even order a kit online I have to have blood drawn for test and in illinois you have to have doctors order to draw blood for the test, and 3 of my doctors ive called will not give me and order say the blood test is not accurate , any doctors on this forum who are in illinois area close to chicago area i could go see to get an order for the blood metal allergy test to know for sure , i did the skin test dr taped to metal objects on the inside of arm broke out rash 10 minutes, but i want to know what metals i have allergys too and blood test will tell me that.

i wanted to post , i spoke with my chiropractor about my situation and he said he would help he wanted to check into it and send order right to the lab , what a kind heart he has, he would help me to find out if i have metal allergy, chiropractors do help in so many ways a doctor would not, so make sure if a doctor isnt helping you out ask your chiropractor he may be able too. Dont forget they too can order tests..

I have to second this. My gem of a chiropractor has come through for me with this sort of things several times, when the family doctor/specialists wouldn't because like Sandy's, they didn't think something was 'necessary'. Plus has kept me mobile when other forms of therapy hasn't.

It took me quite awhile to find this special one after several years of average practitioners, and I wouldn't give him up for the world.
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!
