Diagnosis:
Degenerative disc disease throughout spine
Generalized disc bulging with mild narrowing of thecal sac in L2-L3, L3-L4, L4-L5, L5-S1.
Moderate spinal stenosis L4-L5
Foraminal narrowing
Recent compression Fx at T10,T11.
Treatment:
Spinal decompression 2007
Cortisone injection in lower back in 2010
Relieved of pain for now
Hope for ADR
Re: Health Insurance Denial Forcing Me to Go Abroad... Yes my surgery was for the cervical spine at C 4/5 & 5/6. Dr. Clavel does do Lumbar ADR as well. Most of the surgeons doing ADR surgery started doing ADR surgery on the lumbar spine as that is what was first approved and available even outside of the U.S.. If you look at his Barcelona Spine Center web site www.bcn-sc.com it actually has a video of him doing a lumbar ADR surgery. Pretty interesting to watch.
