Hello all
I came across this site while searching for information regarding surgery options, and just from what I've read, I'm so glad I did. Not only does this forum seem to be a wellspring of information, but everyone seems so supportive and understanding. Something, I'm sure you'll agree, that isn't too common an occurrence in the daily life of a chronic pain sufferer. Anyway, I'm hoping to get some of that advice and support myself, and will be posting a longer account of my situation in the appropriate area shortly. And, hopefully I can be of help & support to someone else, too. Special thanks to both Justin and KBear - thank you both so much for creating this site and keeping it running, so many people would be lost without it and I suspect I'll be one of those people in no time at all!

Gday, nice to meet ya. Awesome cat!
Welcome Chris! Wow, you have a lot going on with your spine and hips. Are you looking at surgery? If so, which one (s)? Thank you.... wish I could take credit for creating the site, but that's all Justin. I'm just a happy helper who's paying forward what I was given by these great people. Glad to have you here and sorry you have to be here.

Thanks, Kathy, I'm so glad to have found this forum - the people here are truly wonderful! As you saw in my other post, I don't know yet what surgery might be recommended, but from my research, I'm guessing it'll be some combination of decompression and fusion. Though he's not a surgeon, that's what my orthopedist said would be the likely type of surgery for my condition. Still in the process of just getting a recommendation that surgery's needed, so I guess we'll see how it turns out.
