Thumbs Up hi everyone my name is jon (fell 25 ft off roof, living with chronic pain post microdiscectomy at C6-C7 & spinal fusion at L4-S1)

my troubles started after falling 25 feet off of a roof, as i did construction for a living. i had a microdisectomy with fusion at c6-c7 in may of 2005. then L4-S1 fusion with rods and screws in july of 2008. the only pain meds i take is extra strength tylenol. i have learned to control the chronic pain to a certain degree. i would be lying if i said i never suffer, we all have our days. my worst problem i need help to deal with is all the tingling a numbness in my arms and feet. neuropothy they call it. i have degenerative disc disease, so therefore i have several bulging and degenerated discs. i have 2 small children and 2 small grandchildren, so my life is pretty busy. i get social security disability. i did not litigate my injuries from my fall due to i was working for a family member. i hope you all accept me i am willing to participate, and try to help others as much as i could use your wisdom and input in my life. pain is just a way of life reminding us we are human. thank you all and i hope to be a very helpful and active member of this forum. thank you all so very much for listening to just a small part of my 49 year journey. god bless all.

    Welcome Jon,

I'm glad you found us and thank-you as well for sharing your journey. You sound like you have a very good handle on a very unfortunate event in your life. Good for you as that is most of the battle anyway, not letting your pain run your life. I look forward to getting to know you better on here. Cindylou

Welcome to the forum, good to have you here. Living day to day with pain is a challenge and dealing with it well is helped by sharing the battles with others who understand.
