I found this site right after I was diagnosed. I have suffered from hand/finger numbness and neck pain for years. It wasn't until I slipped on the stairs @ home and sought an Ortho. The ortho got approval for MRI of both neck and shoulder. Had torn rotator cuff which was fixed first. He didn't discuss neck with me at all, other than we should see to it after shoulder is repaired. After 1 year of recovery from that I went to Neurologist concerning numbness and neck pain which had gotten much more severe.
I had another MRI and NCS Feb-Mar '11. Diagnosed with Cervical DDD and 2 level Disc Herniations at C 4/5, C5/6. I was referred to Neurosurgeon and am waiting for appointment. I also suffer from Sciatic pain, arthritis in hands, knees, feet and both hips. Recently spent 2 weeks in bed with sever pain from Scaroilliitis, for which I went to see Chiro. Helped a lot.

I am concerned about having surgery on Cervical Spine. BCBS won't pay for ADR so I will have no choice but to have fusion. Worried about lack of range of motion and future stress on CS that will lead to more surgery.
