Default Mr Nick Boeree , Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

I am an airline pilot aged 63 who underwent Anterior total disc replacement L3/L4, L4/L5 and L1/2 fusion in January of this year (2011).

I went to Mr Boeree after a recommendation. I had suffered with muscle spasms and absolute pain for several years and it would often feel as if the sinal bones were grinding together, and it would sometimes take me 30 minutes to get out of bed. It was beginning to be a problem to continue with my job, flying B747 aircraft on long haul routes.

I can only give absolute praise for the care and skillful surgery I received from Mr Boeree. I ended up with two major surgical procedures, both posterior and anterior during the course of two weeks. The Nuffield Hospital in Southampton UK was second to none and am so thankful to have gone through with the procedures.

I was advised not to drive for several weeks after the surgery, but recovery was so good I was renewing my instrument rating in my private Cessna 182, some two weeks after discharge! Five months later I was renewing my B747 rating in the simulator so that I could start earning a living again. This was quite an event to be able to manage the forces of an engine failure etc.

Some eight months later I continue to mend and am back in the gym on the cross trainer and light weights. My Jack Russell dog make sure I walk across the countryside for two, three mile walks each day and I feel really great.

    Highly recommended!
