Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone on the forum had a spinal cavernoma removed on their spinal cord?

In the end of 2010, I started noticing numbness in my feet. As a runner, I would run around 20-25 miles per week, and noticed some weakness in my right leg. Soon I could no longer run and had some trouble walking. Eventually I had trouble even driving and went to the ER, where an MRI revealed a cavernoma on my spinal cord in the thoracic region. After surgery my right foot went completely numb and I could barely walk for a couple months. I couldn't drive for 9 months and returned to work after being off 10 months. I still have 50% numbness in my right foot (about 25% numbness in left foot) and have a slight limp as a result. I'm hoping the nerve endings regenerate so I regain full feeling and can walk normally and run again. No real back pain, gets a little sore when bending over for long periods but nothing I'm worried about.
