    Default New to the site

Hi everyone. I was looking for a forum for persons with spine issues/disabilities for the mental and emotional support mostly. This appears to be the best one I've found. Looking forward to being with you all. Somedays it's just as important to have someone who understands what you're going thru and or dealing with as it is to have the physical aspects under control. Know what I mean? I've been on 100% SSDI for 18 months now. I can't remember off hand how much work I've had done on my lumbar and hip area. There have been 4 surgeries and I'll have to post the rest when I get out my paper files.

    Hi Marty,

Welcome to the Spine Patient Society.

The emotional roller coaster that is spine problems / surgery is a common thread that unites many of us. It is often difficult for others to "get it," especially if they have never dealt with spine issues. We definitely know what you mean. I do hope that your pain is under control. As Gil mentioned, feel free to ask any questions and reach out to other SPS Members for support -- there's quite a supportive group on the Forum.

    Be well.
