    Default Spondylolysis?

    Hi to all,

    I am interested to know if threre is anyone that has had a spondylolisis surgery, artrodesis fusion L5-S1 with or without decompression. Which where the symtoms before surgery? and after?

    Any opinion about that will be wellcome

    Scoliosis dorso-lumbar (14%). Rotation grade ++. Lordosis lumbosacral
    Minimal Espondilolistesis L5-S1 secondary to a Bilateral Spondilolysis of L5. Associated to a dismorfism of vertebral L5. Small discal protrusion of posterior projection on L5-S1


    Axonal Sensitive Polyneuropathy
    (without knowing the origin. Nobody knows if it is the spin problems ho produces it)


    Neurological Claudication
    Neuropathic pain in arms

    Hi Sariera,

    Welcome to the Spine Patient Society.

    I've spoken to many Spine Patients over the years that have had lumbar spondylolysis subsequently corrected with spinal fusion.     Thank you Justin for your information, it will be vry helpful for me

    I hav been looking for spondylolysis comment of people of your forum, but there not seems to be a lot of oeopl having these problem. I have been reading the ones concerning spondyloesthesis.

    If there is other information specially about chirurgical techniques I will be very happy to read them

    you might try searching for "pars defect" and get some more results?
    non-surgeon MD in the US - but laid up no longer!!!
    Initial injury - 2006 fall from horse - initial dx SIJD w/ nl MRI
    L5/S1 discogenic pain from posterior annular tear
    Biacuplasty successful but disc re-injured in MVA
    M6-L implanted Oct 19th, 2011 by Dr Clavel in Barcelona
