Well, I haven't got it yet,but I know what you mean Katie! The appt. I got, so tomorrow will come none too soon.
We were out all morning in these chilly 30 + degrees temperatures. It was our annual Lungevity Event that we volunteer for...it's a chairity walk, pledge, etc., for lung cancer. Our dear friend died 6 months ago of it, and my Dad and brother died of lung cancer as well. Our friend never smoked a cigarette a day in his life. Fortunately, my friend in charge gave me a sitting job. So I manned the "In Memory/Honor of" table. I walked this thing last year but that was not to be this year. Hopefully I can turn this around soon. It's really cool, because we encourage folks to bring children and their dogs. We supply really cool kerchiefs for all the furry friends and we had a silent auction this time too. My husband MC's it every year and puts together the music. Remember, he's the big music guy.
One of the head oncology doctors from the U. of Minnesota comes and speaks at it too. It's definitely one of those things you do that makes you feel good and say, "can't wait to volunteer for this again next year."
