Yeah! Finally, you have someone who will listen to you! While reading your post, it hit me that children must throw those temper tantrums because they don't feel like they are being heard sometimes too. It made me realize how often I did it to my own daughters....but I'm way off topic here...must be the 'Grammy genes' starting to kick in

While I never got the chance to wear my patch while showering, etc., I was also never warned about putting another piece of tape on top of it. I wonder if it is in the sheet of instructions that usually come with medications? That is a really important piece of advice and should be emphasized when prescribed.

While it was a huge dose for me, I wonder if they were trying to make up for the amount of pain I was in at the time? It was before I was put on the high amounts of morphine. Since I'm allergic to so many other meds, I suspect it may have been a combination of that plus too much too soon.

CL, I'm glad you were the squeaky wheel and got what you needed Hang in there!

Well, I haven't got it yet,but I know what you mean Katie! The appt. I got, so tomorrow will come none too soon.

We were out all morning in these chilly 30 + degrees temperatures. It was our annual Lungevity Event that we volunteer for...it's a chairity walk, pledge, etc., for lung cancer. Our dear friend died 6 months ago of it, and my Dad and brother died of lung cancer as well. Our friend never smoked a cigarette a day in his life. Fortunately, my friend in charge gave me a sitting job. So I manned the "In Memory/Honor of" table. I walked this thing last year but that was not to be this year. Hopefully I can turn this around soon. It's really cool, because we encourage folks to bring children and their dogs. We supply really cool kerchiefs for all the furry friends and we had a silent auction this time too. My husband MC's it every year and puts together the music. Remember, he's the big music guy. One of the head oncology doctors from the U. of Minnesota comes and speaks at it too. It's definitely one of those things you do that makes you feel good and say, "can't wait to volunteer for this again next year."

That's great CL. Helping others, definitely helps you get 'out of yourself' and appreciate life and what you do have. It is definitely a feel good feeling.

Apologies on the necro post, but I've just been put on this medication after treatment with Oxy and Percs is starting to become problematic (needing ever increasing dosage to get relief etc). I will update this thread once I've started with the patches and a week and two down the road; this thread was great to read as a primer and I would love to contribute to the information here.
