Good Day
Can anyone explain to me what happened?
I went to bed last night feeling fine. When I woke up I could not stand up straight, bend, twist, walk, and looking into the mirror I am crooked, tilted to one side.
I think it may be spinal instabilityand it is very painful
I am on a dose pack day five for Acute Bronchitis go figure!
Still waiting for a consult from Dr Pimenta it has been seven weeks still no reply? He has all my information I am getting worried
I am ready to get on the other side this is enough, being in pain and not healing is one thing. Being in pain and healing I could deal with.

Had you been coughing alot or something? Perhaps you coughed and went into some muscle spasms in your sleep? I know I've gone to bed feeling Ok and awakened and my back went out many a time tho well in the past.
Perhaps if you don't have problems with this drug you could go to your local Urgent Care setting/ER and get an injection of Toradol if there is muscle spasming just to see if that helps.
It helps me when I'm not able to move my neck or low back due to muscle spasms and usually is a pretty acute situation.
In your involved extremities do you have numbness, loss of function, or tone? Do have any incontinence of bowel or bladder? Can you walk on your toes/heels?
Hopefully even tho you're in bad shape all of this checks out Ok. But if you're in really bad shape and things are getting worse not better with rest then perhaps you should be seen at your local Urgent Care or ER depending on how badly you're doing and give your regular doctor a call tomorrow.
Gil, I sent you a PM.

I would have to say considering your Spinal History this could be serious. I think better to play on the side of safety and have it checked out. Take care and I hope whatever is going on it resolves itself.

Gil, I'm so sorry that this has hit now...I have no idea what is going on.
Did you trace the package that you sent to Dr. P? If you are sure he received it, then call his office, or let me know and I will contact him tomorrow on your behalf. I have no idea why he hasn't replied...he was always very prompt with me, although one time it took a bit to get his assistant to reply...not sure why.
Sending you gentle hugs, very gentle ones!

Gil, we love you. I echo everyone's concerns, and hopefully, by now you have been to the ER. It doesn't sound good, and best to err on the side of caution. 7 weeks is way too long to wait to hear back, and if you are not in good enough shape for the call, take Katie up on her offer and have her call on your behalf just to get the ball moving again. Of course you will have to talk to them at some point but let her help. Hang in there buddy. CL
