I am having a fusion but right now I take Buprenophine for pain and other reasons its an opied but diffrent then most its a partcial agonist not a full and it works on the MU receptors. So not only does it block full agonist like vics what have you.I did talk to my pain doc about this and she told me not to worry she knows that I will need ultra high amounts of opiets to control pain not worried about hospital control they will take care of that she told me to come pick up my scripts the day before surgery and that she willl write my pain scripts for this surgery I did read something on the papper about Daladid witch I no of but there was another on there I think called Opanea does that sound right if so what is it thanks guys I know you guys and ladies would know what I want to know.

From your previous posts, it sounds like you will be on Dilaudid (hydromorphone) for your pain postoperatively. In the hospital, they will use IV Dilaudid.

Opana or Opana ER is oxymorphone. Oxymorphone and hydromorphone are both in the same class of "strong" (think potency) opioids.
