Gday.
When you've used up all your options and you're ready to start considering lumbar fusion, it can be difficult to find success stories, but it's pretty damn easy to find horror stories. The bad outcomes are real, and should be heeded, but a lot of people I'm convinced have the surgery without even giving it much thought, and a lot of people pull up well. They never even consider posting on a message board.
'I was crook and the doc fixed me'. Some of them don't even know the risk they took, and who knows, maybe it's better for them that way! I've also noticed a lot of people will only post on a message board when they are having a problem or a pain spike, are in distress, then when things settle down they are never heard of again.
So as part of my research I made sure I found some success stories to plaster around the place to keep me going, here they are to balance the ledger a bit.

If you have any more post them up, hopefully the next person desperately typing 'back pain' into google may be helped along the way a little.
