Constipation! Yah this was a problem. If you can't talk about it here... I didn’t have any 'movement' from the Monday of surgery until the Tuesday of the following week! The doctor and nurses reassured me that everyone gets constipated from the meds and it's completely normal and typical.

The nurse recommended that I microwave a 1/2 cup (4-ounce) of prune juice and drink it within 1 minute. It took a couple of these doses spread out over several hours to get things 'moving'. I can't tell you how happy I was...:^) It sounds ridiculously strange to be soooo happy but I was really bloated. Remember DON'T push!!! I wish I would have known that there was something I could have asked for to off-set the effects of the meds as K mentioned.

    Regards,

    Rob
    Hi Rob,
I will never forget your wonderful email to me and how I kept it on my desktop to be able to get to it quickly.
I now have another question since re-reading your email. The doctor told me that I will be having a XLIF, plus a 360
surgery. Is that possible? I will be suffering on all sides. Is that what you had? I am t very stressed by this. Is there anything you can say about this. I went to all your sites and downloaded all of the hyperlinks that you had on your posts. Please get back to me by email. langecarmen@gmail.com Thank you, Carmen
