Default Sudden pain 10 months after PLIF

I had a PLIF L5S1 almost 10 months ago. I normally have some aching and sometimes pain with weather change but was generally doing pretty well. Today I have had sudden onset pain on the left side of my back into my buttock with a bruised feeling where my scar is and a feeling of kind of dull weakness in my left leg. I also had a sort if catching or popping feeling on that same side while changing position while sitting. Has anyone had any kind of similar experience? I tend to try to wait out new symptoms because as we all know things change quickly with this king of surgery and recovery, but this is concerning me.

    Hi krismmic,

It sounds like you possibly irritated a superficial nerve near your scar. Are you able to explain the "dull weakness?" The popping feeling could simply be your sacroiliac joint taking the new stress of the fusion at L5-S1, which is quite common.
