I had a headache all yesterday (understandably).Woke up this morning with terrible neck pain on the other side to where it fell on. Spoken to the Doctor and he said to get him out if it doesn't ease off by tonight. Like I haven't got enough pain already I have to injure myself as well .
ajj1001 I was getting ready to make a salad for a gathering after church and I fell off the ladder I had extended over the stove to get on top of the cabinets. I keep the bigger dishes, platters and bowls that I don't ordinarily use out of the way. It becomes a problem when I want to use one of them. I should explain so not to worry too much about the stove, it is electric and it has a smooth top surface. I was hoping to step on it but missed it coming down. I fell on my head again. I put ice on it immediately so I never had a bump but bad enough to keep me in bed for two and a half days. I have to keep those ladders away from me. I hope to have my operation soon, so not to endanger myself any more. I live alone, so that is part of the problem. I would never think to call a neighbor. Carmen

Definitely on the mend, had a reasonable night and I now feel more sore and shooting pains have gone off. It just makes me realise that I can't cope with any more pain than I already do. Thanks for the good wishes.

Here's some warm and fuzzy hugs to both you and Carmen May you be well on the road to recovery very soon. This independent streak often does me in too Take care!
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

I managed to get out for a little bit today, still very sore but being in since thursday was making me stir crazy. I'm hoping to wake up mended tomorrow.

My daughters are now joking about buying me a new CD tower to replace the one I had thrown out! I'm happier with them sat on the floor out of harms way. They are enjoying winding me up about it!
