Default Feel like a right chump

I knocked a CD tower onto myself yesterday, it walloped me right in the middle of my head. I had a headache all yesterday (understandably).Woke up this morning with terrible neck pain on the other side to where it fell on. Spoken to the Doctor and he said to get him out if it doesn't ease off by tonight. Like I haven't got enough pain already I have to injure myself as well .

    Alison,

I would take his advice if it doesn't feel better. Head injuries are not fun. I hope your headache goes away soon so you don't have to see him.

    Take care.

Yes, I agree with Dave. Best to let the doc examine you, since it was a head injury. So sorry. Yeah, I get the "feeling like a chump":......falling on the ice and breaking my hand. What's up with us?

    Dear Right Chump,
I hope you get to feeling better. It is hard to get anything done with a bad headache. You sound about as graceful as I am.

Oh that sucks! It's horrid when something like that happens . I feel for you. I've been very accident prone in the past when I've been struggling with back pain. From my experience pain makes you very clumsy & unco-ordinated & I guess your movements aren't as fluid. Hope your headache is starting to ease but if not I'd take the doc's advice - as you say you've got enough to cope with already.

    Keeping my fingers crossed

    1993 Back pain age 29.
    1998-2001 DDD at L1/2. 10 admissions for discography/epidurals/facet injections/disc injections/RFA's.
2005 ALIF at L1/2 with BMP & good result: pain free
2007 DDD at L4/5 unresponsive to epidural. Discography: early degeneration, anular tear & bulge. Limited response to core strengthening.
    2009 ADR (activ L) L4/5.
    2011 Facet injections L4/5 & later on T10-L2.
2011 (October) Epidurogram, epidural, nerve root injections & RFA's T10-L2.

Hubbie came back home at lunchtime and has been running up and down the stairs with heat packs every hour, he is getting a good workout. Can't take any more tablets but I'm still getting sharp pains from my neck to my ear and down my arm. Feel like such an idiot.

Hope you're weekend isn't too bad & that darned pain settles . Heat can be very soothing & relaxing so if it's helping then that's something. Your doctor sounds very helpful & obliging so I wouldn't hesitate to ring him. It might help to put your mind at rest but it's your judgement call.

Take care & please stay away from the CD tower over the weekend !!!
