Thumbs Up First Massage Off All Medications -- I was in Heaven!

Yesterday, I had my first massage since being off all of my medications (narcotics). I have to say this was the FIRST time I can remember in a good couple years now where I didn't have any leg pain. I was still getting off of my Suboxone the last time I had a massage and I was in full withdrawals, so I was achy and sore all over (and my legs hurt). I just laid there and tried to "soak in" how incredibly good and foreign this felt. It was quite an experience.

I wish those still struggling with spine issues much success--I've come through three spine surgeries now and I have to say there is light at the end of the tunnel. Your perseverance to get better / find a solution will ultimately serve you well--don't ever give up!

BTW: sorry for my absence this week. I've been sick the last week and a half with quite a cold.

Thanks for the update Justin. You deserve to be "pain" free with all you have had on your plate. Keep up the great work you do. You are an inspiration to us all.

Take care of that cold. Eat tomato soup and grilled cheese. Great comfort food for a cold.

    Hi Justin,
There is a company called Massage Envy that is excellent. I get massages every week and this really helps out with the pain and of course the costs. I belong to it and they are all over the US. I would go to google and look up massage envy and I am sure it will bring they all up. There is sure to be one in your area. They are open 7 days a week. Their hours are good too. Tell them I referred you. I only had one other person, a doctor friend of mine, sign up for it too. Let me know if you need any help finding it. Also I used suboxone to get off of vicadon. At first suboxone made me nauseated but the doctor gave them to me in smaller dosages but more times a day. This solved the problem. Now I am just trying to stay awake. Hi Carmen,

Thanks for the information. Deep tissue massage has been a life saver over the last 1.5 years.
