Hey SN,
Frequent urination in of itself would not cause degenerative disc disease. However, frequent urination could be a symptom of a herniation.
If your physicians have noted that your antidiuretic hormone (ADH) levels are low, this would most definitely cause increased urine production. ADH normally works in the kidney to reabsorb water. When a patient is not producing ADH (called central diabetes insipidus) or when a patient's kidney is not responsive to ADH (called peripheral diabetes insipidus), there is increased urine output. Note: diabetes insipidus is not related to diabetes--the name is really a misnomer.
Herniations can cause symptoms such as increased urination, but it is more likely that excessive urine output is due to diabetes insipidus.
I hope this helps.
