Default Frequent Urination and Degenerative Disc Disease

Does anybody have any good information that frequent urination(12 times a day) can lead to ddd. Ive asked 3 drs who deal with the back and they all say no. I say bull crap and that my undiagnosed condition led to this. No one on either side of my family has had any surgery on their back or neck except my aunt at 53 was doing yoga had a micro discectomy done. And my uncle and mom had herniated disc in their neck but both recovered with physical therapy.
Riding 4 wheeler and playing basketball. Collide with guy in mid air and I hit concrete on one leg and then fall down. Wake up in pain cant move for few hours, fine few days later. Back never the same.

dec 2007 horseplaying with father, contained l5-s1 disc herniation with sciata on right leg, traction helps and time, pain free, diagnosed ddd l4/l5 and l5/s1

I can't say that it is caused by DDD, but I have the same symptom. I am up at least three times a night, which ruins a good sleep And it definitely started about the same time as my other symptoms began, including the overbearing pain.

Not many doctors agree on my symptoms either, with the latest one telling me that my numb hands and arms are caused by carpal tunnel, not the compressed cord at C5/6. Of course he did not do any of the diagnostic testing for either carpal tunnel or myleopathy.
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

Katie, thank you for the response, but I meant any articles or proof that frequent urination leads to ddd. Im certain this is it, but 3 drs disagree so far and my family thinks im nuts and wrong. But again nobody in my family has had any major back problems besides 2 with herniated disc in neck in 40's one from weights both recovered with pt and one aunt at 53 doing yoga with a micro d and fine now. But no operations besides the one whatsoever and sister doesnt have back pain.

Overactive bladder can be caused by a wide variety of reasons. I don't have any publications, but here are some links that might be helpful:

I don't know that it LEADS to DDD but it certainly is a SYMTOM of DDD -- especially cervical DDD. I thought it was due to other causes but know I know it was because of my DDD. I had my bad C4/5 and C5/6 replaced in October with M6-Cs in England. It's whole new world for me. I was one step away from diapers (bladder and, to some extend, bowel). I can tell you where every public and not-so-public bathroom is in my town, and how long it takes to get from one to the next. Now I'm normal. YAHOO
