    Default Fruit Paste Recipe-Constipation Remedy

The following recipe came from my grandson's pediatrition. It is a natural alternative/remedy for constipation.

    Fruit Paste Recipe

    8 oz dried prunes
    8 oz raisins
    8 oz dried figs
2 oz senna tea leaves (purchase in health food store)
    1/2 cup prune juice
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    2-1/2 cups water

Bring fruit, lemon juice, tea leaves and water to a boil. Boil for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and add brown sugar. Allow to cool. Using a mixer or food processor, turn fruit mixture into a a smooth paste while gradually adding prune juice. Place in container and store in freezer.

DOSE: Take 1-2 teaspoons every morning. Remove dose from container and let warm to room temp. for 5 to 10 minutes (helps to soften paste). Eat plain or spread on toast, muffin, or cracker. Increase or decrease dose as needed. Drink plenty of water, 6-8 glasses a day.

This recipe made a big difference for my grandson. I haven't tried it myself, but my daughter swears by it.

Hope all of you are having a relatively pain free day and enjoying the beginnings of a lovely summer.

Tried almost every alternative prior to revision and ADR surgery including nerve blocks, steroid injections, chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, rolfing. Have been on many different pain meds. Currently tapering off of narcotics as my pain level is significantly lower after ADR procedure . Happy to help anyone I can regarding scoliosis, ADR or fusion procedures.
