Default Had my doctor appointment this a.m.

So, I had my appt. with the gastro Physician's Assistant, and after going over all my symptoms, we came to a couple of conclusions. 1) I switched from Nexium to the generic for Prilosec a few months back, so we are having me switch back to the Nexium. 2) No anti-inflammatory med's, which leaves me in a quandry over what to do about my back pain. 3) Go back for revisit in 6 weeks, unless things get worse, at which time she will schedule an endoscopy. 4) She thinks it would behoove me to see a urologist for the blood in the urine and the frequent voiding. So, first things first. Gonna go pick up my scripts (oh, she also gave me something for nausea prn) and think about scheduling a massage, to see if that will help. And I am going to call to start scheduling P.T. I hope, hope, hope this will improve my quality of life.

I'm rooting for you CL! I hope you get some relief soon. Definitely makes sense that the generic medication could be the problem. I know my family doctor always reccommends that I get the brand name on all my scripts, as he says the generic are not the exact same and can be a certain percentage weaker (don't know if this is crap, or true).
You deserve some relief! Praying for you.

i stopped anti inflammatories due to stomach problems a few years ago, I have been using ibuprofen gel at pain sites instead (as well as other oral meds) and that has definitely helped. It seems to work better after I have had a hot bath but not sure that this is medically proven or that it just feels good!

Enjoy, I love hot baths. Ava, my 3 year old, seriously takes 3 or 4 baths a day. Anytime anybody gets in a bath, she is standing there, saying "mommy/daddy, I'm dirty, I need to take a bath. Please!" By this point, she has the cute little sad face look, and we end up letting her in (thus kicking us out). And amazingly, she is still the dirtiest kid I know, it's like dirt is attracted to her!

    Good luck Cindylou.

KBear, your story is very cute! It melts our heart when our 5 year gets his "sad, little puppy dog face" as well.

Ok, time to sound like a man again. I'm going to slam down a beer or two.
