Default Have some swelling in my feet

Last night, I noticed that I have some swelling in my feet and ankles, possibly going up my calf a little bit. I slept with my feet up last night, though it didn't go away.

It is reduced some this afternoon, I hope it continues to go down.

The only thing I could attribute it to, is the naproxen which I started on Monday. That's the only thing that changed. I did take one oxycodone yesterday, but I've taken them before with no problem.

I didn't take the naproxen this morning. I was almost going to call the rheumatologist, who prescribed it, but I don't think it warrants an emergency call on the weekend. It can wait till Monday. I would have had to stop taking it a week before surgery anyway, this is just a little sooner.

And last night I had wanted to take one of the new drugs I got that would help me sleep. But with the swelling, I was too scared to take something new. I went to bed about 10:30 last night, and didn't get up until noon.

Just thought I would say, I haven't taken the naproxen since Friday nights dose. The swelling was gone by Sunday.

I need to call the rheumatologist, to let her know what happened.

I'm glad the swelling went down. I would definitely call the dr to let them know that you had this reaction, this might even be a common reaction. You could be allergic or even allergic to that 'family' of drugs. Or, this could be as simple as a common side effect. Either way, it would be good to know.

I called and left a message, but she hasn't called back. I assume she will call tomorrow. I did have what I thought might have been some swelling after taking Mobic. But it was nowhere near as evident as this time around. I don't know if they are the same class of drugs, but I'll make sure to tell the doctor.
