Thank you, thank you...for not making fun of my gushing

Distance is a problem as they are over an hour away, even though in the city where hubby works, and with each of us only having one car, we don't get out much. I suspect that my daughter is sleeping as much as I am right now anyway, and that's why we haven't heard much from them this week.

So I've only seen her once, and she slept the whole time..I only have her dad's word for it that her eyes are dark blue, like most newborns, and that they will eventually change, probably to a lighter blue like her mom's. It sure was heaven holding that little perfect baby though.

It's time to put out an SOS again...maybe she will take pity on her invalid mom and have us out again this weekend for a visit so we can get some daytime pictures. 'Grandpa' almost made her cry by popping off too many flash pictures the other night. I borrowed this one off my daughter's Facebook account, and figured since she was sharing her with the world, it was safe for me to do so too

Then I can post just a few more...and it gives me a chance to get another whiff of that beautiful baby scent...I hate letting this much time pass between visits...she will have changed so much. But I'm glad we are at least this close. When my babies were growing up, my mom was a six hour flight away, and she only got to see them every couple of years or so. At least we have broken that .

Of course, you are healing now yourself, so visitation could be a little tricky, but by and by you will work out something of a regular time for you all to visit....so you can get to know your beloved little granddaughter. Your daughter will, I know, really appreciate having a grandma who wants to be as involved as possible. And you are right....time just keeps a ticking....they don't stay in that newborn phase very long at all. Tell your husband for Mother's Day you would like him to drive you to visit your grandbaby! Me? Always thinking.

Sorry guys, I have always been able to make the size of the pictures much bigger with the Webshots program, but I can't seem to find the control for it right now...I'll try again in the morning.

Ha, I think I have it!

No wonder you are gushing, she is gorgeous!
