CL, what the he**????? What good would that do, to wait two months? Haven't you waited long enough for the system to do something right for you? I am so, so sorry.

Is it the time of year or what, with so many people having bad times right now?

You know, this news of mine is very good, but it seems like it is going to take forever to come to life. I'm going to have to yank my surgeon's chain again today, as I haven't heard from him yet about his sales reps. I need their names before I can start to work on this.

Kathy, I threw out this idea almost as a joke. Like hey, can't they just make a special one just for me? And then I started talking to the right people who actually agreed with me. And they said that it is quite common. Who'd a thunk it? You never know till you ask...... I did mention the cost and one fellow said he didn't think it was a big deal. Not to him, maybe!

And it sounds so simple, this solution. I need to have one of the 'regular' appliances sprayed/covered with pure titanium, or a titanium nitrite mix. I asked about having something made of pure titanium, but they said it was too soft.

But the complications are endless, it seems. If they spray one model, it can interfere with the way the appliance moves, or how some other part attaches, or....a dozen reasons. But they all thought there was a solution. I just have to keep pushing.

My husband says this is my greatest quality, but he calls it nagging

Thanks so much for all the kind words. They really, really help. And if it brings some much needed hope to you too, then all the better.

Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

See nagging does have great benefits! I always say that my daughter will be a powerful something in the future, because she is so strong willed and hard headed!

My headstrong, outspoken challenging but fantastic eldest daughter who we always said would take over the world is now a good way into her navy pilot training. She has met loads of VIPs and is the most determined person I know.

Good to hear that there is light at the end of your tunnel. Perseverance in the face of adversity is the mark of a real hero.

I would so love to be involved with his trial, but it might not be in the cards. I'll keep trying, and my current surgeon here is now talking with me and has encouraged me to keep up the investigation for something we can use here. Dang regulations that won't let the M6 into the country yet

But I've spoken at length with the makers of the Bryan disc and while their's won't work either, they had some suggestions for me of others that might. I have to track them down tomorrow....this feels like it will never end!

Thanks for your post. It isn't a novel...mine are usually much longer! Maybe we can chat on the phone, my nickel?

We can chat via phone. Sadly I don't have long distance & my cell company slams me for International calls (my sister found that out the hard way). Or, to keep it cheap, we can set up a night & time & chat via Instant Messenger
Disc Bulge C4/C5, Disc Degeneration T11/T12, Bi-Lateral tears L5/S1, Diagnosed w/ Lumbar Disc Derangement w/ Radiculopaphy. Treatment: IDET, Percutaneous Discectomy, SI Joint Injection, Facet Block. All failed. Empire BC/BS Denied Coverage for ADR-lost all of my appeals. MVP also denied coverage.

    Anterior/Posterior Fusion L5/S1 -1/20/09 - I'm not 100% but I'll take the 85%! When the weather co-operates, it's 95% woohoo!

Thanks Nairek. I have a great long distance plan and can call you anytime. Can you PM me your number and we'll set up a time, perhaps over the weekend or later next week?
