Default Scared Silly - Positive Mojo and Prayers Needed

    Hi all,

I am not very good about keeping up with the boards. I recently started a thread on another forum about another appointment.

To make a long story short... I was admitted to the hospital on Sunday and have undergone several tests and procedures. The surgeon has determined that all of my hardware, the two Chartie ADR's, the PLIF at L4 and the SCS must be removed so that a 360 fusion can be done correctly.

So, as the title mentioned - I am scared silly. All of this is to take place this Friday morning first thing. If you wouldn't mind sending me all of your positive mojo, prayers, etc. I would be greatly appreciative.

    Thank You

    kc0iet,

I'm so sorry that everything has to be removed on Friday. You are one of the bravest people I've spoken with and I know you will be able to get through this. I will be praying for you and if you want to talk by phone today, don't hesitate to send me a PM.

Friday is the first day of your new life! We'll all be with you in spirit!

Add my name to the list of spinys who will be sending along prayers and wishes for a fast recovery for your surgery tomorrow.

Please let us know how it went as soon as possible. We truly care about your well being.
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

    Default Ty all

Thanks All! I have about 15 minutes left before the nurses will come to take all food and drink away. About six hours before they will be coming to escort me to the OR. I have just buzzed the nurse for one last Valium, something for my never ending headache and a sleeping pill.

Thank you all for your continued prayers.
