    Justin and Liz,

Thank you very much for the very encouraging messages!

In hindsight, going through all the tests, procedures, and hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of research has required substantial strength. Although at times (especially lately) I've felt weak, it's been my family, faith, and drive that keeps me going.

Thanks to all of the encouragement, I'm actually starting to feel better. Instead of dreading the surgery, I'm starting to look beyond it, and towards the road towards recovery.

Thank you to everybody. All of your encouragement has sincerely helped.

    -Dave

p.s., Fortunately, I was able to get an ultrasound exam and meet with the oncologist before tomorrow's surgery. The testicular growth wound up being a large cyst (one of the largest she's seen), and the oncologist doesn't think I need to deal with it right now! -whew-

Dave, although you may have already 'signed out' for your surgery, I just want to add my best wishes again, and positive thoughts for this surgery.

With all this research and opinions of great doctors behind the decision, we will just assume that this is the absolute best that can be done. A positive attitude does wonders for the healing process.

With all the help you have given others, it is definitely your turn, if that counts at all

Hugs to you and your family. And trust that they are behind you in this, that they really do understand no matter how young they are. Liz is so right about how proud your boys will be (and are already).

I'm so relieved about the growth as well. Whew is right!

Any word yet on the surgery and recovery outcomes? I was disheartened to hear about your downer. You've always been an amazing supporter of others in spite of the pain that you yourself have been going through. We all have our moments when we feel worthless, not needed, start doubting our own gifts. I am glad that you allowed others to support you through your own; "bummer time" and are back on the spiritual mend. I am hoping that the physical mend is also taking place for you.

Please call if you want to or need to.

Hang in there. Life is awesome.
