I've definitely been researching north american spine. Sounds very promising. However, I'm still worried about reherniations.

I am reading and looking at videos of this procedure with big interest.

First of all, what type of laser is used? This is very very important. Second, laser energy in spinal canal close to nerves, dura, healthy tissue - no thanks for me! Third, I cannot find any relevant articles in any of medical journals.

I also could not find any other information?

I think If at all this would just be a temporary fix not solving the underling pathology

I think, for now, its only good marketing. I have requested more technical information from NAS, and no reply yet.

I have investigated about procedure. They use Th:YAG laser, and they are still collecting data for publishing in relevant medical journal.

I agree with keano, little worried about scar tissue with lasers, but idk. I know trkdoc had it done, but had reherniations, not sure if it is bc of procedure or just bad luck idk. It looks like it makes sense, but again who knows with lasers etc.
Riding 4 wheeler and playing basketball. Collide with guy in mid air and I hit concrete on one leg and then fall down. Wake up in pain cant move for few hours, fine few days later. Back never the same.

dec 2007 horseplaying with father, contained l5-s1 disc herniation with sciata on right leg, traction helps and time, pain free, diagnosed ddd l4/l5 and l5/s1

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against lasers. Laser in spinal neurosurgery is present from year 1986 and dr. Choy and dr. Ascher invetion. It is spread worldwide with excelled results for contained disc herniations.

Difference is that according to Choy's method, laser is used intradiscal (inside the nucleus), and according to AccuraScope they use it in spinal canal where laser energy can cause significant damage.

Another "problem" is this Th:Yag laser. I am trying to find more information, but I was not able to find ANY article about Th:Yag type of laser. Very strage.

    Sorry to hear.

If they can see herniation, obviously they would have to also see re-herniation.
    Their reply sounds very strange.
