been good and only been out of bed for the bathroom so I'm hoping I've given it chance to settle. right is starting to ease but the left hurts an awful lot more. it's cold, swollen and is having trouble moving. the good thing is they are distracting me from my back pain!

Carry on being good. You really need these ankles to settle down so you can be as active as you can before & after your spine op.

The thought of the shots in the ankle make mine hurt. I had shots in the wrists for carpal tunnel a little over a year ago and I remember how bad that it hurt the next day (and those aren't even weight bearing like an ankle!) I'm needing to do it again and have been putting it off because of the day after pain. Hope tomorrow they are feeling much better.

Yes, it does seem like "only one" pain source comes to the front of our mind at any given time, doesn't it? I'm sorry the left is hurting so badly. Hope that one settles down for you too. Good luck Alison. Any news on lumbar surgery date? Hang in there hon. Cindylou

Nope, the change in government means they have stopped checking whether hospitals keeping to target waiting times so these are all getting to be a long time again. I'm going to ring for an update next month.

The left ankle has started working again so I've been up for a couple of hours today but its very throbby if I weight bear on it. Hoping this aggro is going to be worth it.
