Eight weeks out from Micro Disc- New Issues-

Hi All

I am eight weeks out from surgery and feeling O.K. Started to drive and sit a little,Still no P.T.

New symptoms not spine related I think?

My ankles are itchy, with little red dots, veins in left leg are black and blue with some swelling?

Went to the Dr. office to get it checked out. I have Vasculitis

It is theinflammation of the Veins due to medication.

Could not figure out which medication that is causing this

Has anyone heard or had this????

Hi Gil,

Congrats on reaching the eight week post-op mark! In terms of your questions above, I am familiar with vasculitis. If your vasculitis is drug-induced, the treatment would be to stop taking the offending-drug (as you mentioned above). I am sure your doctors have a good handle on this and will explain their decisions regarding your care soon.

I haven`t been on meds for a while, how ever two weeks ago I was on another Dose Pack, but had the itching lower legs.

Today I had a EMG test on my arms and hands, to find out why my hands are numb??? Will know more later.

The test was rather shocking

I hope the EMG testing gives you some information. That numbness is a weird sensation, isn't it! I don't remember the EMG being like that, but maybe my memory is fried

Is the itching going away at least? Good luck with everything. Sometimes all these tests are just plain annoying.

No I still have the itching so they put me on Prednisone more drugs which is what they think started all this

Should I take it?????

Gil, That sucks, I just had an EMG & Nerve study last month, which showed absolutely nothing wrong with me. My 3-MRI's (all at different times), were also all normal. It is frustrating having the numb hands and fingers and not knowing why. Lyrica is the only thing that helps mine, not even Vicodin works.

I hope your test comes back with some answers!

I still have itchey ankles and did not start taking Prednisone wanted to wait to see my Doc on Thur,

I should find out why my hands are numb maybe???:thumpup:
