    I am taking 1-2 7.5mg Hydrocodones a day and that's it (usually only 1 a day).
Before surgery, I was on 40 mcg Kadian a day (morphine), 5-6 10 mg Hydrocodone a day, 300 mg Lyrica a day, 120 mg Cymbalta a day and 2-3 3 mg Zanaflex at night. Even with all that I was still in a lot of pain all day, now the medication takes it completely away.

Thank you for sharing. I'm surprised that none of the doctors I've seen have even bothered to talk to me about narcotics. I mean, the strongest thing one of the technicians recommended was aleve!

Honestly, I feel there's a whole pharmacological universe out there for people with terrible back pain and so far, not one surgeon or MD has bothered to discuss with me what those are. I've scheduled another appointment with the pain center and a visit with Dr. Lee. I want to know more about the pain pills available for this type of pain!

Definitely ask, if the pain is unbearable or unmanageable with Aleve, tell them so. They don't usually offer it up, but if you are in pain there are lots of different things you can try- some narcotic and some non-narcotic.
