HGH is a tricky one. HGH injected in synthetic form is too much for my taste, I personally wouldn't want to mess with growth hormones on such a blunt level. There is a product though called TransDTRopin which supposedly stimulates the natural production of HGH within the body. It basically makes you produce more of your own HGH. I am giving that a try. Supposedly it works but its not that strong as injecting it, which is fine with me.

I just realised that I kind of missed your point, I have no idea if it could help with a bulging disc, it would be almost a miracle if it did, but who knows what HGH exactly does in the human body, may be it has something to do with the types of enzymes that supposedly nourish the nucleus via the endplates.

Let me know how that stuff works for you. I assume good b/c you said your doing 3.5 mile hikes 3 weeks after back surgery.

I also would never inject anything..

Its hard to tell what it exactly does, I have been using it now for 2 weeks and it very possibly could be showing a positive effect which shows itself in increased energy. I will take it for another 2 months or so and see how I feel about it.
I did feel something pretty much right at the beginning when I first started taking it. My body kind of started to run on some extra cylinders and I also had some crazy vivid dreams. Now that effect has pretty much levelled out.
There are quite a few people out there though that do like it a lot, reporting increased energy and an increased ability for the body to heal itself.

I bought in online from their website Increase Natural Growth Hormone - Trans-D Tropin® , you would have to google Trans D Tropin and read up on it and see what you think. Talk about snake oil type of marketing, there is plenty of that going on regarding that product and it also is quite expensive but see what you find out online about it and how you feel about it.
I am personally always careful about any type of hormone supplement as I don't want to upset the natural hormone balance in the body, this product supposedly only stimulates the production of ones own growth hormone.

I just came across an interesting educational series of videos done by Dr Buttar who also stands behind Trans D Tropin.

You may want to view them, I think its interesting info:
