    Default Scar tissue really!!!

Its been a while since I posted.I have been consumed with trying to figure out what is causing my pain and how to treat it.

The surgeon who performed my fusion has pretty much told me to move on.So I have , from him anyway. My PM has told me my issues are scar tissue related.

I have had two nerve blocks and one facet block , with no relief.Medication barely helps.I get a little relief for a hour or soo and then the pain returns.

My pain feels like a burning sensation deep in spine very low like near the coccyx , tailbone area.
I also have bilateral buttock pain.I cannot sit for more then a couple minutes.

My question is how could scar tissue be the issue when The last surgery that was a posterior operation was my discectomy in 2006.I had no isssues untill after me fusion which was performed in 2008 and was an anterior approach.

I always thought scar tissue would crop up like 2 to 3 months after your surgery. Not 3 years later.

I have done some research and have decided to look into piriformis syndrome.Cant hurt right , everything else I have done has not helped.

I have a appointment with a Dr.Loren Fishmam in NYC on friday and hopefully I will have some answers. He is supposed to be a apecialists in sciatica and piriformis syndrome.

Wish me luck and I will post results once I consult with him.

Your signature shows Feb 11 an exploration surgery, could this have caused the scar tissue? I'm sorry you are still suffering and I hope you appointment goes well.

Hey Kbear , Same pain before and after the exploration. The exploration was done because of the pain I have now.
