Default 3 years out with 2 level lumbar artificial disc replacement (Maverick)

In one month, It will be three years since my 2 level lumbar adr with the maverick disc done at Stenum. I am back to living my life and working as a pilot for American Airlines. The medical department at American was very interested in my progress and success that they have referred many other pilots with spine problems to me. I know of a couple of pilots that have made the trip to stenum and are back flying.

I consider myself lucky and blessed to have found this procedure. I know that it is not for everyone, but it is a God send that I was able to do this surgery.

    Mark,

A big congratulations to you! It's great that you are "paying it forward" and helping other pilots in similar shoes. Happy Holidays and I do hope you have a wonderful New Year!

Hi KanRunMo, you can search the Surgical Outcomes Forum for threads started by a particular SPS Member. I did this using "rhatzy" as the Member Name to search and I found this thread:

    Gil,

There is a guy who had 4 level lumbar with the maverick disc done by a guy in Brazil. Also another pilot who had a 4 level cervical done and went back to flying. You can also do a hybrid, fusing and ADR.
