In 2001 I had a 2 level Charite disk L5s1 and L4/5 After trying everything and now bedridden unable to walk or stand from the pain. After reading many articles and speaking to many people, I contacted Dr Pimenta in Brazil, sent him all my scans and the result is severly degenerated facet joints and incorrectly placed L4/5 Charite disk. His first suggestion was to have facet joint resurfacing done. It has a 50/50 chance it may work, if it doesnt I will need to have revision surgery and have a fusion.
On the 18th of March I will be in Brasil for this operation its arthroscopy and out the next day.
I would like to hear from anyone that has had facet joiont resurfacing and their outcome.
