Default Harrington Rod Surgery for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis

    Hi

I had Harrington rod surgery for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis when I was a teenager in the 1980's, I am fused approx from T10 to L4/L5 my rod started to cause problems almost immediately after I had fusion the rod was replaced four months afterwards (a hook came away at top and rod started to bend), I had a replacement rod 3 months later rod was removed ( hook at bottom came away), 4 months later I started with disc problems below my fusion. I also had problems with my facet joints etc. The area below my fusion has curved and is pressing on nerve going down my leg, I also have a break in the fusion. I also have sagittal imbalance. I am due to have a decompression and fusion extended down to my pelvis soon am waiting on a date from hospital.
