    Hi. it's day before surgery. cheers with bowel cleanzing water now.
    I met one American lady who went surgery today. I don't even know her name yet but we will be in rehab together probably.

    sorry I was off a bit. bit scary and having some trouble with wifi lately.

    It's moment of truth. thanks to all of you.

    Trauma at 20 y/o left buttock, thigh, LBP eversince.
    confirmed DDD retro spondylolisthesis L5/S1, offered fusion,
    had discectomy successful.

    Ken, I am so proud of you...going forward with so little support. That is not easy. Try and build a circle of friends over there during and after surgery. After all, no one understands what you are going through more than them. (And some of us, of course ) I hope to be joining you on the other side soon. In the meantime, keep the faith, stay positive and keep posting!

    Compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6
    Herniation and compression at L3/4 to L5/S1. Severe allergy to most metals.
    Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, distraction pain/burning in legs-two weeks post-op.

    C3/4 C4/5 C5/6 C6/7
    Surgery 06.04.08--C5/6 and C6/7 w/Prodisc
    C4/5 deterioration progressing quickly
    MRI on lumbar shows disc herniation at L5/S1, stenosis at L3/4, L4/5, spondylosis and DDD at L2 through S1 in July, 2009
    Nerve Root Injections on Aug 6th, 2009 - L5/S1
    Nerve Root Injections on L3/4, L4/5 and L5/S1 on 12.14.09
    Epidural on Jan 6th, 2010.
    Epidural and L5-S1 Nerve root block on Feb. 9th, 2010.

    Nov 07: Fusion (Stalif) S1/L5, ADR L4/5 (Activ-L)for strong back and leg pain (Zeegers, Germany).
    Nov 09: 2 level cervical ADR Prodisc-C (Nova) C4/5/6 to stop progression of cervical myleopathy. (Bertagnoli, Germany).

    Hi everyone.
    its second day after surgery. I am in bed. next to me is a german gentleman.
    I am in a cheaper two bedroom.

    my surgery went well. and post surgery pain is not much, much less than I expected. they gave me a lot of pain killer drop, which i don't know what it is.
    kept vomiting a lot but now feeling o.k.
    I have a lot to type, but just reporting now that it went well.
    I am confident I did best to my spine problem. :)
