Hello all
I am a 40 year old male.I was diagnosed with DDD after the second surgical procedure. This is undoubtedly hereditary as far back in my family as we have records for. I am very interested in artificial disc technology- specifically the results (good or bad) from those here who have undergone ADR procedures. I am fearful that I will have to make a decision soon whether to suffer fusion or incur debt for an ADR procedure, as I am bone-on-bone at L5-S1. As I mentioned in the signature I have had procedures at L5 and L4, so this would likely be a dual level ADR. (L3-L4 was surprisingly healthy). I was able to stay off painkillers by staying active in the gym since 2004, but I have noticed greater pain in the last 7 months which has led to the downward trend of less physical activity.
I appreciate all the work being done on this forum to both give me hope and to help me avoid the pitfalls so -THANKS!

Gday,
If you're bone on bone you probably don't want to stick an artificial disc in l5-s1. Get a few opinions.
Good luck.
